My journey into the goth culture began in 1985 on my way to Six Flags over Texas and hearing The Cure for the 1st time. Something about....Standing on a Beach....and I was hooked!! As a kid my dad raised me on great rock and roll music, but this was the first music that was mine, not his. They were like my Beetles at the time, defining an ideology, a lifestyle, and a fashion sense that I (try) carrying to this day. And discovering more new wave, dark wave, and alt music was to follow. And my musical journey still continues to this day!
I also got into photography early on in high school, back when we used film. It has always been a media that I felt like I could work and be creative in. Mainly because I don't have to draw anything!! LOL. I also truly enjoy setting up these scenes for photoshoots.
It is my art form.
